EHT Group is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Technologist. This is a unique opportunity to have an immersive experience into technical inside sales, project engineering, project management and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Project coordination and project management
  • Execute engineering activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study & Detailed Design)
  • Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures
  • Electrical Heating system design for piping, instruments and equipment using Thermon and/or nVent heat tracing design program
  • Understand and implement the zoning EHT circuits with appropriate power and control methodology
  • Ensure EHT Isometric designs are in line with the piping, P&ID, area classification & LDT information and being consistent with the project code and IEEE515 requirements
  • Ensure power connection, RTD location, cable type and length, trace ratio, sheath temperature, heat loss and appropriate safety factor is applied for the EHT designs
  • Ensuring that the EHT design and tracking are kept up-to-date in EHT Group’s Internal Database
  • Designing panel schedules, cable schedules, wiring diagrams, Controller set-up sheets and other EHT deliverables
  • Client interface
 

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree or Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma would be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong client focus with demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be reliable
  • Electrical heat trace experience is a bonus
  • Willing and able to travel into Canada and US
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident requirement
  • Drug and alcohol testing requirements
  • Valid drivers license with a clean record
  • Strong communication skills with values that align with a culture of mutual respect, teamwork and high ethical standards
  • Able to expedite issues in a large multi-discipline team to work towards resolution

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $63,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year

Additional pay: Overtime pay
