Small Box, Big Results
With the addition of a SmartTrace Monitoring Controller your heat trace infrastructure goes from uncontrolled (read: costly) to controlled (read: better).
The Controller is installed beside your existing distribution panel that incorporates a small current transducer connecting your heat trace circuits to SmartTrace to send you real time, relevant data. And with this one small addition comes huge impact.
SmartTrace Uncontrolled Monitoring:
Tracks and analyzes
Up-to-date power-usage trends help you make informed decisions
Alerts Issues
By carefully monitoring load, your heating cable lifespan is tracked to avoid failures
Optimizes control
Prompts ensure you know when to manually turn your system off (or on!)
Provides alarming
Generating custom alarms based on the unique properties of your heat trace circuits
Empowers decision-making
Concrete information and cost-benefit analysis keeps your system running smoothly
All for a remarkably cost-effective price.
The Specs
The SmartTrace heat trace monitoring panel is a compact control solution designed specifically for monitoring heat trace circuits that are directly fed from a distribution panel or a non-digital control panel (ambient contactor panel). Its purpose is to provide real-time monitoring and management capabilities for heat trace systems. The panel is intended to be installed adjacent to distribution panels containing heat trace circuits or any non-digital heat trace panel.
The monitoring panel offers two installation options:
- External Installation: Current transducers are installed externally to the SmartTrace monitoring panel, such as within a distribution panel or another enclosure.
- Internal Installation: Current transducers are integrated inside the SmartTrace controller, and heat trace power feeds are routed through the monitoring panel.
There are three communication options:
- Wired - Ethernet RJ45 Connector
- Optional - Wired - 2-wire RS-485
- Optional - Cellular
